Free, hands-on climate education workshops for elementary students — inspiring the next generation of environmental problem-solvers.
Little Builders is Terra2Vita's annual climate education workshop series for elementary school students. Through hands-on, inquiry-based activities, students explore real environmental challenges — water conservation, climate change, and sustainable systems — in a way that's accessible and age-appropriate.
Every workshop is completely free. We believe curiosity about the planet should never be limited by zip code or school budget.
Two workshops this summer, completely free and open to elementary students in the Louisville area.

Here's what we built together across our three Little Builders sessions.
This year's Little Builders program reached over 105 elementary students across three workshop sessions in Louisville. Students explored water conservation concepts through hands-on experiments, learned about the science of climate systems, and built simple models illustrating how water moves through ecosystems.
Post-workshop surveys showed 100% of participants felt they learned something new, and the majority expressed interest in attending future sessions. Several students asked follow-up questions about how they could help conserve water at home — which is exactly what Little Builders is designed to do.
We're proud of what this community of young scientists built together, and we're excited to keep growing the program.
